HOUSTON, TX – Texans for Dan Patrick announced today that it will donate $100,000 to the Rebuild Texas Fund, which was established today by Governor Greg Abbott in collaboration with the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation and the OneStar Foundation to help with the response and recovery efforts for Hurricane Harvey. The Dell Foundation is contributing $36 million to the fund with the long-term vision for the recovery of the affected areas.
“The whole world is seeing the strength and resilience of the great Texas spirit, from our committed first responders to the thousands of volunteers across the storm zone. The Rebuild Texas Fund is another example of how Texans and those worldwide who share the Texas spirit are working together and will continue to work together through every step of this process – rescue, which is still going on in some areas, recovery and finally, rebuilding. In addition to the contribution from Texans for Dan Patrick, Jan and I are also contributing $25,000 to this important effort to ensure that our great state has all the resources we need to rebuild our great state following this massive storm.”
