By Lesley Henton, Texas A&M Marketing & Communications

COLLEGE STATION, Sept. 1, 2017 – As Texas continues to recover from the devastating effects of Hurricane Harvey, Texas A&M University recognizes its current and former students, faculty and staff who displayed the university’s Core Value of Selfless Service by coming to the aid of their fellow Texans during this tragic event with a collection titled “100 stories of Selfless Service.”

The collection of stories is featured on Texas A&M Today and also includes an “Add Your Story” button so that more stories of Aggie helpers can be featured.

Submissions can also be emailed directly to submit@tamu.edu.

Texas A&M University President Michael K. Young contributed a note of appreciation to the site, thanking all the Aggies who provided aid in hurricane-related efforts: “Words cannot begin to describe how proud I am of the Aggie community in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Current and former students, faculty and staff have stepped up in the most amazing ways to help their fellow Texans survive and begin to recover from this devastating storm. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for putting the Aggie Core Value of Selfless Service front and center.”

Links to donate to relief efforts are also available on the site, including the American Red Cross and #BTHOHarvey, a Texas A&M student-run relief effort.
