Katy’s Cane Island Hosts Wine & Woofs with Donations Accepted for Special Pals

KATY, TX (August 16, 2017) – Attention lovers of cabernets and canines!

The Katy master-planned community of Cane Island will host Wine & Woofs, an evening of fine wines, snacks and pup-friendly treats with donations accepted for the Special Pals Animal Shelter on Friday, September 1 from 6 – 8 p.m.  Leashed dogs are welcome.

Hosted in Cane Island’s Amenity Village, 2100 Cane Island Parkway, Wine & Woofs will feature wines for purchase by the glass or bottle from Yellow Brick Road Winery, the family owned and operated winery and vineyard in Sealy, Texas.

Donations also will be accepted at the Wine & Woofs event for the Special Pals Animal Shelter summer wish list.  Items in need include dog and cat toys, liquid Dawn soap, bleach, trash bags with draw strings, wet puppy food, kitten formula and wet kitten food.  Individuals also can also sign up to volunteer to bathe and socialize with dogs.

Donations for Special Pals also can be dropped off at the Cane Island Amenity Village Welcome Center leading up the September 1 event.
