“A False Kind of Christianity” By Dan Jensen

Dan Jensen calls for conservative Christians to reach out to youth swayed by Progressive Christianity

Author announces release of new book, ‘A False Kind of Christianity’

ST. GEORGE, Utah – Having noticed a recent upsurge of Christians, particularly millennials raised conservative evangelical, adopting the tenets of Progressive Christianity, author Dan Jensen declares that the time to act is now. In his new book “A False Kind of Christianity: A Conservative Evangelical Refutation of Progressive Christianity” (published by WestBow Press), Jensen explains why this movement is unorthodox and calls for conservative evangelicals to respond to the movement’s “heretical nature.”

“Progressive Christianity is a sub-movement within liberal Protestantism and has been around since at least the 70’s,” Jensen explains. “As Christians we are repeatedly commanded in Scripture to protect the church from false teachers. Progressive Christianity is growing rapidly and is having a huge impact upon the church and American society at large. We may indeed be on the verge of facing very similar challenges to those faced by the American church during the early part of the twentieth century with the Fundamentalist-Modernist controversy.”

Jensen points out that the divide between liberals and conservatives is widening across multiple spheres: theologically, politically, ecclesiastically and otherwise. He argues that conservative Christians much reach out to younger Americans through sound biblical dialogue before an entire generation is lost.
