DIRT DOGS THEATRE CO. OPENS SOPHOMORE SEASON WITH LIFE X 3

Production Dates:August 25-September 9, 2017
Opening Night: August 25, 2017

HOUSTON, TX — Dirt Dogs Theatre Co. (DDTCo.) dishes out Sancerre and Cheez-Its as the starter to its 2017-18 season, with the gritty comedy, Life X 3, by Yasmina Reza. DDTCo. Executive Director, Trevor B. Cone, is at the helm of the witty and acerbic play, which presents three versions of the same story, and runs for three weeks at MATCH.

Originally composed in French asTrois versions de la vie and translated by Christopher Hampton, Life X 3 is a study of how the simplest and most random of events can change the outcomes in life. When dinner guests, Hubert (John Kaiser) and his wife, Inez (Melissa J. Mayo), arrive on the wrong night, Henry (Kevin Daugherty) and Sonia (Katrina Ellsworth Ammons) are forced to receive them with no warning, no food, and an unpredictable six-year-old (Kyle Anthony Mosley) who won’t go to sleep. Henry, an astrophysicist who hasn’t published in three years, has just one shot at getting the influential Hubert to recommend his longed-for promotion. Or might he have two; or even three?
