Big: The Musical at KVPAC This Weekend

Katy Visual and Performing Arts Center’s (KVPAC) summer season is winding down with Big: The Musical by Charlie Lovett.  This open enrollment student production features young actors from ages 7-14.

This KVPAC Production of Big: The Musical the classic 1987 motion picture fantasy bursts onto the stage in the unforgettable theatrical experience, Big: The Musical. Josh Baskin is sick of being an awkward kid. At a carnival, he makes a wish to the Zoltar machine to become “big.” To his shock, his wish is granted. After an understandably awkward beginning, Josh is forced to do “adult” things, like getting a job and a girlfriend. In the end, he discovers that there’s much more to being an adult than he bargained for and learns that we must all grow up at our own pace, in our own time.

Brendis O’Sullivan makes her directing debut at KVPAC with this production.  She recommends purchasing your tickets online as the performances are close to selling out.

Show times are Friday August 11 at 7pm, Saturday August 12 at 2pm and 7pm
Sunday August 13 at 2pm.  Tickets are available online at www.KVPAC.org until noon on Friday or can be purchased at the box office one hour before each performance.  All shows are performed at Katy Visual and Performing Arts Center, located at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center Complex at 2501 S Mason Rd, Ste. 290, in Katy.
