August 7, 2017 – The Houston Children’s Chorus, an internationally acclaimed and diverse, performance chorus, announces open registration and auditions for its Preparatory Chorus and Concert Choruses for children going into grades 2 through 8. The Chorus, which runs from September through May, places an emphasis on diversity in its music and among its 180-plus-member chorus. To include more children from diverse backgrounds, the chorus offers need-based scholarships. Having recently completed a week-long residency in Galveston and a performance tour of Montreal and Quebec, the Chorus performs close to 40 concerts per year.
