PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – The new book, “Chameleon: Understanding the Five Faces of a Super Deceiver: Sensuality, Popularity, Wealth, Charisma, Fear” (published by WestBow Press), by Marc Edgar Royster, Sr. Ed.D, offers insight into how to identify “super deceivers.”

“Just by casual observation, one cannot help but notice the normalization of sensuality, the emphasis on wealth-building, questionable conduct among people of faith, etc. is in nearly every news cycle and practically every social media platform,” Royster says.

Royster calls for the faith community to be more cognizant in recognizing and countering deceptive approaches “agents of Satan would use to spoil one’s spiritual walk in Christ” that seem to have gained significant momentum in many churches. The behavior includes sensuality, popularity, wealth, charisma and fear. Royster argues that the church is pushing a flawed agenda and its members are falling victim to these sins rather than doing things that honor God.

“I would like for the readers to gain an appreciation for what the gospel of Christ is really about and recommit themselves to the personal relationship with Christ that help reconcile others to Christ, not to a legalistic system of beliefs, religious organization that demands preeminence, or social club with no spiritual  stance,” Royster says.
