“Alzheimer’s is currently the 6th leading cause of death in the United States” states Fredy Batres, Outreach Specialist at the Alzheimer’s Association Houston and Southeast Chapter. “This walk is an opportunity for you to help spread awareness, gives hope to the community, and increase funds for research as well as community support and programs.”

In addition to the 5K (3.1 Mile) walk, participants will enjoy the opening ceremony with the National Anthem, music, entertaining warm-up and a special tribute to those who have experienced or are experiencing Alzheimer’s. Participants will learn more about Alzheimer’s disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical studies enrollment and support programs and services. Walk participants also honor those affected by Alzheimer’s disease with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony.
