Central Fort Bend Chamber Hosts Working Lunch Series Business Plans for Small Businesses

Central Fort Bend Chamber hosted its Working Lunch Series on Business Plans for Small Businesses at LaCasona Mexican Restaurant, July 20, 2017, bringing 19 local business owners and employers together to learn how to create a business plan.

Matt Fitzgerald, a SCORE mentor and entrepreneur, presented topics focused on how crucial business plans are for businesses, what a business plan is (and isn’t), what to include in your business plan and why, and how to use your business plan. “Before starting a business it is critical to come up with a business plan”, says Fitzgerald, “You can call SCORE and set up an appointment to meet with a counselor or myself and we can work with you step-by-step to create your personal business plan.”   SCORE offers the largest network of volunteer business mentors providing free answers to your business questions.   The presentation was followed with Q&A to address specific circumstances.

Fitzgerald is a SCORE counselor with a background in finance and who owns several businesses including two restaurants and many real estate ventures.  He specializes in helping business owners and executives improve their businesses and their lives.  SCORE is a non-profit organization whose mission is to help grow and sustain the small business community through mentoring and education.  Forms for all your business needs can be download from their website at http://www.scorehouston.org .
