FIRST HOUSTON AREA “EXPERIENCE OF THE FUTURE” McDONALD’S RESTAURANT TO HOLD GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION JUNE 24

On June 24, The Glaser Group will hold a Grand Opening Celebration for their new McDonald’s restaurant located at Morton Ranch Road and SH 99/Grand Parkway in Katy. It is the first “Experience of the Future” restaurant in the Greater Houston Area. The new location is the tenth McDonald’s restaurant for local Owner/Operator David Glaser and his wife Lindsay. The Grand Opening will feature prizes, family-friendly activities, a Games2U truck, live music, an appearance from Ronald McDonald, and more.

“As a second generation McDonald’s owner/operator, I’m proud to bring the first ‘Experience of the Future’ restaurant to Greater Houston,” Glaser said. “McDonald’s has always been a part of my family, and my wife and I are excited to welcome families from across our community to experience the future of McDonald’s.”

As the first “Experience of the Future” restaurant in Greater Houston, the new McDonald’s features digital ordering kiosks, Bluetooth table locators for dine-in table service, indoor and outdoor digital menu boards, interactive entertainment and video game systems, delivery from UberEATS, an outdoor patio seating area, and a 24-hour drive thru window.

The Glaser Group invites the community to enjoy events and specials in the week leading up to the Grand Opening Celebration.

Monday, June 19 is a civic engagement day that will kick off with a ribbon cutting ceremony with Councilmember Steve Pierson at 10:30 a.m. Veterans can eat for free throughout the day, individuals can donate blood on the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center bus from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., VFW Post #9182 will host a flag raising ceremony at 11:45 a.m., Coffee with a Cop will take place at noon and HCESD 48 Fire Station #5 will bring their fire truck by the restaurant at 2 p.m. Guests who donate blood will be entered to a raffle to win free McDonald’s for a year. Tuesday, June 20 is perfect for moms who can tour the restaurant from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and get a free small Premium Roast Coffee while the children enjoy crafts, face painting and bubbles. Wednesday, June 21 features $1.99 Happy Meals, crafts face painting, kiddie cones and fun for the whole family. Diners will be treated to special deals on food on Thursday, June 22 and raffles every hour on Friday, June 23.

The main event will take place on Saturday, June 24th from noon to 6 p.m. Guests will enjoy prizes, a bicycle giveaway, a Games2U 20-person game truck, face painting, side walk chalk, live music from local artists Jason V. Chapman and Sydney Bryant, crafts, a Ronald McDonald magic show, and more.
