Teens To Create Magnetic Poetry Kits At Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library

Fulshear-area teens can kick off the summer break with a “DIY Magnetic Poetry for Young Adults” program at Fort Bend County Libraries’ Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library on Monday, June 12, beginning at 3:00 p.m., in the Meeting Room of the library, located at 8100 FM 359 South in Fulshear.

Teens in grades 9 through 12 can release their inner poets by making individual word magnets that can be arranged – and rearranged – to form poetic phrases and literary art for their lockers at school or their refrigerators at home. Random words can be generated by using a website or by simply cutting out words from a magazine. Materials for this project were provided courtesy of the Friends of the Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library.

The program is free and open to the public. For more information, call the Bob Lutts Fulshear/Simonton Branch Library at 281-633-4675 or the library system’s Public Information Office at 281-633-4734.
