Houston Methodist West Hospital to Host Cancer Survivors Day Celebration

Houston, MAY 1, 2017—With this year’s theme of “Healing through Art,” Houston Methodist Cancer Center at West invites all local cancer survivors and one guest to join us in celebrating National Cancer Survivors Day.

Special guest Miss Houston 2015 Chyna Wheatley, will share her speed painting talent and bring healing and encouragement using art restoration therapy.

National Cancer Survivors Day® is an annual, celebration of life that is held in hundreds of communities nationwide, and around the world in June. On National Cancer Survivors Day®, thousands gather across the globe to honor cancer survivors and to show the world that life after a cancer diagnosis can be fruitful, rewarding, and even inspiring.

Healing through Art – A Cancer Survivors Day Celebration is Friday, June 2 from 1-3 p.m. at Houston Methodist West Hospital’s Mesquite Conference Room.  Guests are invited to enjoy the celebration, appetizers and dessert.
