: Katy Area Retired Educators met with District 28 Representative John Zerwas on March 29 in Austin to discuss TRS healthcare and the pension fund

More than 30 Katy Area Retired Educators (KARE) joined the 1100 Texas Retired Teachers Association (TRTA) members at their 64^th Annual Convention in Austin, March 27-28. This was followed by a rousing day of advocacy at the Texas Capitol on March 29, where 1500 TRTA members convened to rally and meet with their legislators regarding proposed legislative changes to TRS healthcare and the pension fund.
