PRATTVILLE, Ala. – For author Christine Curry Taylor, making doll clothes and playing with dolls never loses its appeal regardless of one’s age or gender. She continues guiding young readers in cultivating their creativity and craft with the release of her new book, “Taylor’s No-Sew Doll Clothes Patterns Volume II” (published by Trafford Publishing), a sequel to the her award-winning craft book “Taylor’s No-Sew Doll Clothes Patterns Volume I” which won the 2013 Living Now Book Award and Bronze Medal in the category of crafts.

This volume is a fashion book of patterns with colored photos and full size, simple-to-make patterns for children’s favorite dolls size 10 to 12 inches in height including princesses, fairies and many others. The patterns were designed to be made using felt glue instead of sewing. Included in the collection are wedding dress, veil, tiara, bride’s maid dress, faux fur coat, stole, neck scarf, cape, bed jacket, pajamas, bath robe, night gown, lounging pajamas with cape, surfing suit, tote bag for carrying doll clothes, backpack, beach bag, purses and knit wear made from gloves.

“My granddaughter, Taylor, when she was four and half years old wanted to make doll clothes for her favorite dolls but was too  young to use a sewing machine, needles or pins,”  Taylor  says. “I decided to make patterns so that she could make doll clothes for her princess and fairy dolls without sewing.” Now it is not only her granddaughter who enjoys her innovation. It is also a welcome treat for other young children all over the world.
