The Pin Oak Club, a social and charitable organization affiliated with The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, is hosting the Fourth Annual Pin Oak Sporting Clays Classic on Monday, April 24. The event begins at noon and ends at 5 p.m. at The Greater Houston Gun Club.
The Pin Oak Club will host a kick-off party for the Fourth Annual Sporting Clays Classic on Monday, April 10, from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Pinto Ranch, which is located at 1717 Post Oak Blvd in Houston.
Teams and individuals are invited to participate. Proceeds from The Pin Oak Sporting Clays Classic benefit the children’s charities of Pin Oak: Texas Children’s Hospital, Ronald McDonald Family Rooms at Texas Children’s Hospital, and Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Family Alliance. The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show, founded in 1945, is one of the oldest and most prestigious charity horse shows in the nation. Since its inception, The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show has contributed a total gift that is approaching $7 million to its charity beneficiaries through its annual horse show, fashion luncheon, sporting clays, and other programs.
The Pin Oak Club raised almost $30,000 at the Third Annual Sporting Clays Classic in 2016, with a total of 12 teams of four participating. The Pin Oak Club welcomes men, women, groups, or businesses that want to have fun and, at the same time, support the healing of sick children.
Entry options range from $400 to $10,000. Individuals can participate for $400 per person, and teams of four can participate for $1,500. Sponsorship levels include: 410-gauge sponsor at $2,500; 20-gauge sponsor at $5,000; and presenting sponsor at $10,000. Benefits vary based on sponsorship level.

Getting Involved
The Pin Oak Charity Horse Show welcomes volunteers, members, individual and corporate sponsors, in-kind product and service providers, and contributions in any amount. Annual horse show personal sponsorships are available and range from $400 to $30,000. Annual corporate sponsorships also are available, ranging from $2,500 to $150,000. Benefits vary based on sponsorship level.
Anyone who wants to help heal sick children can join The Pin Oak Club – no horse required! The Pin Oak Club offers many social and sporting events throughout each year, with its two featured events being the annual Sporting Clays Classic and the What to Wear to That Equestrian Affaire fashion show and luncheon. Annual Pin Oak membership options include: Junior Membership for those 21 and under, $50; Individual, $75; Family (for two adults and two children), $200; Patron, $1,250; and Lifetime, $2,500. The 72nd Pin Oak Charity Horse Show will be held March 22 through April 2, 2017, at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center, 2501 South Mason Road in Katy. PJP Farm is the presenting sponsor for Week 1 of the horse show. Irish Day Farm is the presenting sponsor for Week 2.
