‘Servitude of the Church’ seeks to help people cultivate ‘a servant’s heart’

Willie Jenkins announces publication of first book

Willie Jenkins uses his personal experiences in “Servitude of the Church: A Pocket Guide to Developing a Servant’s Heart” (published by iUniverse) to help others desire to be co-labored with Christ.

Based on the overall theme of introspection through God’s word, Min.Jenkins hopes his book will help open people to God’s will and “push self-will out of the picture.” Through sharing his own testimony, Jenkins hopes to teach readers how their ministry is about serving God, how their obedience can win God’s favor and approval, how God provides the power to serve and how serving God gives others the power to do the same and show his love. This book will benefit all type of organizations, public and private to include mentee and mentor relationships and all entrepreneurs.

Jenkins feels his book is “needed for such a time as this in the ever self entitlement society and people wanting something for nothing and not putting self sacrifice in the equation.”

An excerpt from “Servitude of the Church”:

On Monday, August 15, 2005, around ten thirty at night, I embarked upon the somewhat formidable journey of finishing this book. I noticed God’s calling on my life approximately two to three years before. I had no choice but to accept it; there was no alternative for me. … The moment I committed to doing that, the Lord began to pour into my life in a profound way.
