Dan Naef, president of Cane Island developer Rise Communities, visits the construction site of the extended Cane Island Parkway at Highway 90 with Ann Hodge, president/CEO of the Katy Area Chamber of Commerce, and Cane Island canine ambassador Hub. When the project is completed later this year, Cane Island residents will be able to travel directly from I-10 into the Katy master-planned community of new homes. A four-way traffic signal also will be installed at the intersection of Cane Island Parkway and Highway 90. Until then, Cane Island can be accessed via a temporary detour into the community.
