‘Houston’s Largest Home Tour’ Takes Flight in April

Houston’s Largest Home Tour returns this April in communities throughout Houston. The event features more than 150 models and hundreds of inventory homes. Admission is free and homes are open daily.

Houston’s Largest Home Tour is taking flight, promising an April filled with well-appointed homes, jam-packed events and a bounty of butterflies.

Hundreds of homes — including more than 150 models — will be open daily in Johnson Development’s 14 master-planned communities throughout Houston. Homes will be open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays and noon to 6 p.m. Sundays. Admission is free. In addition to touring model homes filled with the latest design trends, event-goers also can enjoy concerts, wine tastings, a jamboree, a Canine Carnival, farmers markets and crawfish boils.

To mark the occasion, gigantic Monarch butterfly statues sporting wingspans up to 8 feet and heights ranging from 6 to 12 feet, will alight throughout the communities adding color and whimsy to their natural surroundings.

“The statues are a symbol of the nature-friendly development that is a hallmark of our communities,” said Doug Goff, Co-President of Johnson Development Corp. “They also are a prelude to the real butterflies we hope will land in Johnson developments this fall, as our communities’ spring landscaping plans include the planting of abundant butterfly-friendly plants, which should be in full bloom by the time the annual migration begins.”
