“The Blue Crayon” By Terry Luce

Terry Luce shows power, effectiveness of alternative therapy

‘The Blue Crayon’ charts thrilling adventure of girl with autism

LOS ANGELES – Terry Luce marks his debut in the publishing scene with a new fiction tale featuring “The Blue Crayon: Dolphin Therapy for Neurologically Disturbed Children” (published by Xlibris). Edifying, evocative and enthralling, this book brings to the fore the understanding of autism and today’s buzz of its latest medication children are being treated with along with its possible adverse effect.

“The Blue Crayon” takes a look into what it is like for a parent to have a child with special needs: the ups and downs, outbreaks in school – especially the bullying. They just want Gabby to be just like other children, except she telepathically communicates with a dolphin named Lucas. Every time the girl is around the dolphin she begins drawing on her notepad – drawings, according to authorities, that are messages about the government, biblical events and even ancient alien relics. At this point, the enraged Doctor Braden vowed to prove that pharmaceutical is the best way to cure Gabby and not the fairytale therapy the Damon family are getting conned into by the holistic doctors. Soon, Gabby is taken away from her parents. The answers are chilling and astonishing as they eventually decipher the little girl’s drawing in “The Blue Crayon.”

“In this book, we relate facts and then a story that is based on true events. Alternative therapy which relates to this little girl turning to art therapy to help release energy in her brain,” Luce shares. “There’s hope for kids who are pounding down 20-40 pills a day that are being prescribed by their doctors as Band-Aid for treating autistic kids and children with PTSD. There are alternatives for every type of disease.”

About the Author

Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, those Midwestern values have inspired Terry Luce to be the person that he is today. During his days in the acting world, he met George Gallo, and that became the beginning of a great friendship. Having trained under Gallo’s guidance, Luce was able to release his first screenplay, a Western, “A Hot Bath & A Stiff Drink,” followed by a comedy and true events of Elvis, “The King & Nye.” Luce later came up with the idea for “The Blue Crayon,” which was partially fact-based screenplay, dealing with autism and dolphin therapy. His next writing projects include: a Western, “Brother behind the Badge”; a true story about the “CIVIL WAR” in Vicksburg, Mississippi 1863 in the “CODED MESSAGE: INSIDE THE VIGENERE CIPHER;” a controversial film about test laboratories on humans, “BREED”; and, a cult fan favorite, “BIG-FOOT.”
