District 19-6A All District Softball Players

TKNThe Lady Tigers and Lady Spartans accounted for more than half of the first team in all-district voting, with Katy earning seven selections and Seven Lakes adding five. Mayde Creek’s Ashley Kriesel was voted MVP
Five Lady Tigers repeated as first-team selections – senior infielders Corey Burrough and Nicole Valdez, senior outfielder Katie Clark, sophomore infielder Kayla Garcia and sophomore outfielder Bailee Shashack. They were joined by freshman pitcher Alyssa LeBlanc and sophomore infielder/pitcher Chloe Cobb.
The Lady Spartans were guided by 19-6A Coach of the Year Katie Spencer. pitcher Brooke Tomalty, infielder Izzy Rollo, infielder Emily Cernosek, outfielder Makayla Englestad and utility player Emily Schmitt all made the first team.
Englestad led Seven Lakes (29-11) with a .447 average, .526 on-base percentage, eight triples, 51 runs and 15 stolen bases while slugging .701. Rollo also hit .447, adding a team-high 19 doubles, 32 RBI and 31 runs. Cernosek led the Lady Spartans with five home runs, 42 RBI and a .703 slugging percentage, hitting .424 with 41 runs. Schmitt batted .426 with two home runs and 37 runs.
Mayde Creek had three first-team selections in Kriesel, infielder Allyson Gonzalez and infielder Shylon Govan. Kriesel recorded a 1.61 ERA in 73 2/3 innings in district play, striking out an impressive 136 and allowing 52 hits and 12 walks. Highlights in 19-6A play included a perfect game against Taylor on March 22, 19 strikeouts against Cinco Ranch on April 1 and 17 against Seven Lakes on April 23).
Infielder, Macey Esser represented Cinco Ranch as its first-team all-district player. Morton Ranch outfielder Cheyenne Luna made the first team. Tompkins was represented on the first team by outfielder Macy Moore and infielder Mackenzie Brown.
