Heritage Grand, a 55+ active adult community in Cinco Ranch, is hosting a free Senior Health Fair on Monday, September 26, 2016 from 1pm to 4pm. The event will take place at the Heritage Grand Clubhouse located at 25125 N. Heritage Grand Circle in Katy, 77494. Over 40 exhibitors will be featured, including a wide variety of physicians and specialists, home health and home care providers, and many other senior health-related organizations.
The Senior Health Fair will also include exercise equipment demonstrations, hearing screenings, and several speakers. Scheduled to appear are John Leslie, who will address Preparing for the End of Life; Dr. Jack Stephenson of the Hand and Plastic Surgery Center of Katy; and Ann and Tom Hoar, local representatives of Mended Hearts, Inc. a national extended support group for heart patients and their caregivers.
Katy Pharmacy will be providing vaccinations for influenza, pneumonia (including PVC 13), shingles, and TDaP at the Senior Health Fair for those who have pre-registered their insurance and contact information online at www.katypharmacy.com or have pre-registered at the Heritage Grand Clubhouse reception desk. Appointment times for vaccinations at the Health Fair will be emailed with information concerning insurance coverage.
Texas Mobile Imaging will be present to explain and pre-register Health Fair visitors for their painless, onsite ultrasound screening of the vascular system for the early detection of cardio-vascular disease. Covia Health will be present to explain and pre-register those wishing to have a digital 3D mammogram, the most advanced mammography technology available.
