Swimming: CRHS Boys/Girls take District 19-6A Titles

the-katy-news-logoCinco Ranch boys and girls swim teams took District 19-6A titles, Jan 28-30 at Tompkins High School.

The Cougar girls defeated Taylor 172 – 108 for the District title. Katy finished third while Tompkins grabbed a fourth place finish. Seven Lakes captured fifth place; Morton Ranch finished sixth and Mayde Creek finished in seventh place.

Cinco Ranch boys won top honors in District with 167 points to second place finisher, Seven Lakes with 85 points. Tompkins finished third, Taylor finished fourth. Katy ended up fifth and Morton Ranch took home a seventh place finish, along with Mayde Creek in eighth place.

For the Morton Ranch Maverick swimmers, who were inadvertently left out of the past edition of The Katy News (oops), eight swimmers qualified in the Boys and Girls 200 Medley Relay and Girls 400 Freestyle Relay.
Swimmers include Jessica Mcmath, Valerie Diaz, Alexandra Kizek, Frederica Kizek, Kevin Royal, Jackson Judy, Charles Ian Bennett and Allen Sharp.
Both Boys and Girls Maverick teams finished in sixth place in the 200 Medley Relay. For the girls, it was Valerie Diaz 11, Frederica 9, Jessica Mcmath 12, Alexandra Kizek 11.
For the boys in the 200 Medley Relay, it was Allen Sharp 10, Charles Ian Bennett 11, Kevin Royal 12 and Jackson Judy 9.

The girls finished sixth in the 400 Freestyle Relay with Jessica Mcmath 12, Frederica Kizek 9, Alexandra Kizek11, and Valerie Diaz 11.

The boys team finished eighth in the 400 Freestyle Relay.
